Janet, Alison and I visited Jessica and Andrew on Labor day weekend and we went to the Sunday night service at the RAMP Sunday. It was a powerful time of worship, praise, and a great word from Damon Thompson on our Christian DNA (Holiness and Faith).
Also, we had a great Saturday afternoon on the plains of Auburn as we had our first tailgate party of the season. There must have been fifty to sixty people from the Church of the Highlands, Trinity United Methodist Church and Converge Auburn. Next week, we will tailgate after the game. Please come - everyone is invited.
As Randy mentioned we had a great week end with new and old friends and family. I am so excited about fall. It is my favorite time of year. Tailgating, leaves changing, cooler air with hot drinks, and holidays.
I am excited about the new small group series that starts next week. I will be teaching a college girls Bible study on Tuesday nights. I have a burning desire to share with these girls why God desires an intimate relationship with each of them. Randy and I will be hosting a Life group at our house on Thursday nights lead by Jeremy and Summer Kempfer. Life is such an amazing study. Tricia Gunn from The Church of the Highlands wrote the Bible Study which ends in a retreat. It is probably the best Bible Study I have ever taken. I guess the best way to describe the study is that is it life giving. I took it with a group of women this past spring and I was changed! I will also be praying for our cities, leaders, churches, and students on Wednesday mornings with a group of women at various locations. Prayer is very dear to my heart. I want more of God and desire to see Him change lives all over this area. I believe we have too much religion and church politics and not enough of God Himself. I desire to see Him move like never before. I pray that this fall will be the best ever for the Bartletts and you. God is doing great things in Auburn/Opelika. I am His and He is mine, Janet
We are devoted to serving God, family and others. God has given us freedom in many areas of our lives. We seek to live a life where freedom reigns.
“Where the Spirit of God is there is freedom.”
OUR CHILDREN:
Jessica married Andrew Turner on May 3rd of this year and they are living in Hamilton, Al. Andrew is a great young man with a pure heart and we are blessed to have him in our family. They’re busy working and helping with the Ramp a unique ministry to young people.
Adam graduated from Auburn in May of 2007 and went to work for Montgomery Martin Construction Company as a project manager. After about a year his church, Life Church of Memphis, invited him to join their staff as faculties and building project manager.
Alison is a junior at Auburn where she’s persuing a degree in Graphic Design. She spent most of the summer in Kansas City as an intern for the International House of Prayer ministry.
We are blessed to have our children involved in ministry. What an example they have set for their parents.
